As a professional translator, I am first of all a specialist in languages. My competence rests in a thorough knowledge of languages and in special skills. I only translate into my mother tongue. I will guarantee:
– Faithfulness to the original text. It is not enough just to understand the original language to translate it well; one must be familiar with its nuances and special features.
– Flow of the final text. This means producing a clear and idiomatic text, with the transparency of the original and avoiding stylistic traps typical of translations.
– Accuracy and aptness of terms and ideas. As with every translator I have specialised in certain areas, viz. religious topics. I develop these and up-date them by constant research and attention.

TRANSLATION
As a translator, I work on written documents.
I translate from English and Italian into French, my mother tongue.
I specialise in religious topics and also prefer themes relevant to human and social sciences – theology, ethics, sociology and philosophy, international relations etc.
I only accept a translation when I consider myself capable of doing it. This is why for any translation service I will ask for the original text right from the time of a request for a quote.
I will stay faithful to the professional code of professional conduct of the SFT and guarantee confidentiality.
REVISION – PROOF READING – EDITING
I also offer my services for proof-reading and correcting French translations, or theses written in French by non-French-speaking persons.
I have taught French as a foreign language for twenty years to a very diverse non-French-speaking public. I am more particularly interested in teaching the written language, its drafting and methodology. I have acquired a rigour and acute sensitivity regarding style, spelling and grammar etc.
